El agro fue el sector que creó la mayor cantidad absoluta de empleos genuinos en el último año.
Sigue la pérdida masiva de empleos en la industria manufacturera.
Caracterizado por una crisis económica que –considerando empleados, autónomos y monotributistas– destruyó 128.226 puestos de trabajo en el sector privado.
En noviembre pasado la cantidad de empleos formales en empresas del sector agropecuario argentino fue de 330.389, una cifra 2,3% superior a la del mismo mes de 2017, según los últimos datos oficiales publicados por la Secretaría de Trabajo de la Nación. En términos absolutos representa un crecimiento de 7580 empleos.
Los otro cuatro grandes sectores privados que registraron un aumento del empleo formal en el último año fueron el de enseñanza con un crecimiento del 1,7% (7115 nuevos puestos), minería con 3,9% (3921), salud con 1,6% (1602), pesca con 3,3% (409) y servicios de electricidad, agua y gas con 0,6% (407) (ver gráfico).
La mayor parte de la destrucción relativa de empleo en el sector privado se concentró en la industria manufacturera con 1.141.447 trabajadores registrados en noviembre pasado, una cifra -5,2% menor que la del mismo mes de 2017 con una pérdida absoluta de 61.839 empleos.

En noviembre de 2018 el sector privado argentino registró en su totalidad 6.164.448 empleos formales, una cifra 1,9% menor que la del mismo mes de 2017. En términos absolutos representa una pérdida de 117.736 puestos de trabajo.
La cantidad de monotributistas registrados en noviembre pasado era de 1.596.202, una cifra 0,2% inferior a la del mismo mes del año anterior, mientras que en el período la cantidad de autónomos descendió 1,9% para ubicarse en 396.659.
La cantidad de empleados públicos – considerando los ámbitos nacionales, provinciales y municipales – se mantuvo prácticamente constante para ubicarse en noviembre en 3.172.251, una cifra 0,2% inferior a la del mismo mes de 2017 (en términos absolutos de 6775 nuevos puestos de trabajo).
